Boxsito
Boxsito sells hand-packed gift boxes with the recipient’s name chalked on the lid. Orders used to happen in DMs. I designed and built a custom Shopify theme where the customer types the name, watches it appear on the lid, fills the box and checks out on their own.
كل هدية وليها حكاية.
Boxsito is an online-only gifting brand from Egypt with a large following on TikTok and Instagram. Every box is matte black, packed by hand, with the recipient’s name written on the lid in white chalk.
The old store was a stock theme with more than a thousand products in long lists. Customers asked for prices and help choosing in DMs, and the team rebuilt each order by hand from the chat.
The new theme turns the brand’s signature, the name on the lid, into the way you shop. It is live on boxsito.com in English and Arabic.
The name on the lid is the pitch
The brand already had the hook every gift shop wants: the box is personal before it is opened. The site just had to let customers see that before they paid.
See it before you buy
The name appears in chalk on a black lid as the customer types. Items drop into the box as they are picked, with a running price.
Prices without waiting
Every box, item and card price is on the page. Nobody has to send a DM and wait for a reply to learn what a gift costs.
An order the team can pack
Box name, recipient, card text, photos and special requests arrive inside the Shopify order, not scattered across a chat.
Warm wood, a black box, chalk white
A custom theme, not a reskin: the brand’s matte box on a wooden table, beige and tan around it, and Yellowtail for the handwritten touch.
Built on Shopify, not around it
Cart, checkout, products and inventory stay native. The builder writes line-item properties, so nothing breaks when the catalogue changes.
Two languages, one theme
Every section has English and Arabic fields. The Arabic store is fully right-to-left, not a mirrored afterthought.
The team can run it
Copy, images, logo, colours and the WhatsApp number are editable from the theme customizer without touching code.
The store is live and taking orders. Payment is still a transfer confirmed on WhatsApp, which is what the brand wanted at launch.
Next would be an automated payment option, reminders for half-built boxes, and ads that show the name-on-the-lid moment.

Send the idea, the goal, and where you are stuck — I will come back with the clearest path from concept to a store or site that earns its keep.
